A free virtual work experience session for aspiring medics in our own NHS GP practice in Lancashire, England

• Learn what it is like working as a doctor in general practice in the United Kingdom
• Learn how to take a clinical history and then practice on real NHS patients (with consent)
• Go through a clinical case and practice your diagnostic skills
• An update on medical school work experience during the COVID19 pandemic

Update 25th February 2021 – We are seeing huge demand for this event. If we reach capacity we will offer remaining students access to a recording of the event.

The work experience session is being held by Dr Mannan from Blue Peanut Medical Education. Blue Peanut is hosting full weekend work experience placements in June, July and August 2021 to help students secure places at medical school.

COVID19 Safe Virtual Work Experience Placements for Aspiring Medics. Attend online from home or in person in Manchester (subject to government COVID19 regulations).

• Learn with doctors who are medical school tutors at UCLAN, Manchester and Lancaster Medical Schools.
• Learn in a practice that also hosts medical students, foundation and GP specialist training doctors
• Learn and practice your history taking skills with real NHS patients (with consent)
• Taught sessions on professional standards, ethics, situational judgement and much more
• UCAS Personal Statement Workshop included
• Certificate of attendance provided with all weekend placements which you can use in your application to medicine
